The Bret Talley Comeback Award of $1,000 will be awarded to a single person who demonstrated the ability to overcome a setback in their life and get back on track on the road to success. This award is aimed at students enrolled in a university or high school and entering university but anyone who fits the criteria is able to apply.
In order to apply for the award, the student should be someone whose life had a setback that they had to overcome to reach the point where they are today.
Bret Talley is proud to announce the Bret Talley Comeback award, which seeks to provide funding for a deserving individual whose life experienced difficult situations which needed to be overcome. One winner will be chosen for our $1,000 award.
We want to reward an individual who has overcome detrimental events in their life and turned their life around to become successful. We are interested in people who possess skills such as resilience and perseverance.
For application we would like to target current students at a university in the United States or high school student who will enroll in university, but anyone is able to apply that has had a significant setback in their life and have been able to turn their life around and make a comeback on the road to success.
The winner of the award will be given based on an essay competition to a single individual. One winner will be chosen based on the best creative essay of under 1000 words answering the following:
"Explain the setback that you experienced in your life, and how you overcame adversity and turned your life around on the road to success"

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 15, 2023.
The winner for the scholarship will be announced April 15, 2023.
